At Any Price, Gaming the System book one, by Brenna Aubrey Vaginal Fantasy Book Club Main Read for July

At Any Price Gaming the System book one, published in 2013, by Brenna Aubrey is a gaming romance novel and is Vaginal Fantasy book clubs main read for the month of July.

When Mia Strong, geek-girl and gaming blogger, auctions off her virginity online, she isn’t looking for love. The auction is a means to end with the rules set in stone: One night and no further contact. It’s a desperate attempt by a woman desperate for money to pay for medical school and her mother’s hospital bills. Adam Drake, the enigmatic auction winner, is a software prodigy who made his first million at seventeen and now owns a gaming company. Using his business knowledge Adam finds the loopholes in Mia’s auction and breaks all the rules. Mia can’t tell if Adam’s playing her…or if he’s playing for keeps.

At Any Price is set in modern world, with real life issues, and nerd trivia running rampant. Mia is a smart but stubborn female lead with real problems and fears weighing her down so it was very easy to relate to her. Adam was a charming yet abrasive male lead which made him seem real. I enjoyed that Adam didn’t abuse his wealth and Mia didn’t just instantly become used to wealthy life.

As a fellow nerd girl, I adored the nerdiness of this novel very much. It had real world problems too which made is quickly rise on my list of good romance novels. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the Gaming the System series.

If you like romance novels you will enjoy this book and you like nerd trivia then you will love this book.

Now go forth, read nerdy romance novels, and prosper.
